How do you pronounce: Hery Rajaonarimampianina?

The new president of Madagascar has the longest (19 letters) surname of any head of state.  Yes, it’s a mouth full and so we usually stick to a first name bases, but if you want to try, take a sip of water and a deep breath because it’s a doozy.

From an article in Boise Weekly, the president’s surname should be pronounced like this: RAH-DJAW-NAH-RI-MAM-PEE-AH-NEE-N

Got it?  Yeah, me neither.

    I suppose since he is now president, he doesn’t have the hassle of fitting his name into those tiny blocks or in the tiny space allotted on forms for his last name.
